Rutland 914i Windcharger from Marlec Engineering.
30% increased generating capacity, from the same diameter turbine, is achieved through advanced maximum power point tracking (MPPT) electronics delivering even more energy from the wind.
Rutland 914i Windcharger
262W(MAX) WIND TURBINE
Cut In Windspeed: 3.1 m/s (6.9 mph)
Available in 12V or 24V
The Rutland 914i punches well above its size for power, rivalling the claimed outputs of larger turbines owing to it’s built-in MPPT technology. This continuously matches the turbine speed and generator to their optimum performance to deliver more ampere hours into your battery ……and a by-product of this optimised efficiency is a virtually silent wind turbine!

Rutland 914i Windcharger
The Rutland 914i has rapidly become our leading windcharger, following the long success of the 913 model. Its 30% increased generating capacity, from the same diameter turbine, is achieved through advanced maximum power point tracking (MPPT) electronics delivering even more energy from the wind. Ideal for live-aboard and weekend yachting, boats from 10m and other portable applications.
Rutland 914i Windcharger
The Rutland 914i builds on the success of the Rutland 913, utilizing Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technology to perfectly match the generator performance to the turbine speed achieving a higher efficiency and thus more power generation. This innovation has enabled the Rutland 914i to retain the compact diameter of the 913 whilst being capable of capturing up to 30% more energy.
- Aerodynamically improved to maintain good wind flow and stability.
- Maximum power point tracking technology yields up to 30% more power than the Rutland 913.
- Low wind speed start up maximises power generation in more typical low winds.
- High grade construction materials for durability, U.V. stability and weather resistance.
- Provides a D.C. power supply to charge 12 or 24 V battery banks.
- Designed for use on board sailing yachts, short term and supervised installations on motor caravans and static caravans where low power is needed.
- Note: Other Rutland Windcharger models are designed for permanent installations on land –

Specifications
Materials:
Marlec construct their Rutland wind turbines using a range of modern and traditional high quality materials which are designed to endure in a marine environment. They have innovated in their field by introducing light weight but robust high density nylon and glass reinforced materials. These materials are UV stable and used alongside marine grade aluminium, stainless steel. The sealed for life bearings and other carefully selected and precision worked materials are manufactured in their UK factory.
